It’s still up in the air, but if all goes according to Douglas Development’s plans, Washington, D.C.’s Ivy City neighborhood may one day have a new winery and restaurant as well as a 300- to 350-seat concert venue, plus a rooftop bar.
In a press release sent out on Wednesday, the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development (DMPED) announced which developer teams were chosen for the District’s first two OurRFP projects.
In Ivy City, there are plans for a nine-building, mixed-use development at the intersection of New York Avenue NE, Montana Avenue NE, and Bladensburg Road NE. This project will house 156 hotel rooms, 422 apartments, and 18 townhouses.
The Washington, D.C. Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development has found three potential new uses for the property. During March Madness, Bowser listed the Crummell School as one of 17 projects unveiled to local investors.
