Already, there’s a lot to look forward to by the Metro station, and now a brand new major development is in the works. Arlington-based developer Rooney Properties is buying part of The Meridian Group's office property at 11111 Sunset Hills Road.
There are plans for a 20-story condo building in Reston, Virginia that will house 150 units. Developer Renaissance Centro’s project will be the first for-sale units to be built near Reston Town Center in a decade.
The second phase will feature two residential buildings and three office buildings. There will be a total of 675,000 square feet of residential space, 650,000 square feet of office space, and approximately 700 residential units.
Over 17 acres of land will be redeveloped for a massive mixed-use project, headed by JBG/1831 Wiehle LLC, EYA, and The Chevy Chase Land Company. The project will feature 1.2 million square feet of residential, 230,000 square feet of office, and more.
The tallest building planned to ever be constructed in Reston finally has a name and a website. The planned 23-story, 420,000-square-foot building to be located at 1760 Reston Parkway will be dubbed One Reston Town Center.
Across from the Reston National Golf Course, there are plans to rezone a 4.6-acre project site from industrial to residential and then construct 34 townhomes and 10 condos. The planned townhomes would each be four stories tall.
