The area around Wiehle Avenue is experiencing a newfound development boom that is sure to increase property values, the variety of retail and restaurant options available, as well as population density. Developers are latching onto any and every available parcel of land near the Wiehle-Reston Metro with nearly 3,000 residential units planned over the next few years. In The Reston Master Plan, which is a general blueprint for where and what kind of developments should be in Reston, the focal points for mixed-use developments are around the three Silver Line Metro stations planned in the area. One of the vision statements of the plan is for the community's greatest densities to be at the Metro station areas with a full range of housing choices for households of varying incomes. Below, you'll find a map of some of the developments either in the planning stages or currently underway in construction near the Wiehle-Reston East Metro station.
