Summer is around the corner and the obnoxious 90 degree temperatures are evidence enough of that! More evidence: the area's outdoor film screenings are starting to crop up all over the metro area. We've mapped out the locations of all of the free outdoor movie screenings that we could find. If we've missed one, let us know in the comments and we'll add it in.

Where to Find D.C.'s Spots for Outdoor Movie Watching

Screen on the Green
This series, run by HBO, is in its 14th year on the National Mall and has four screenings this summer. The movies begin on Mondays at sundown and run from July 16th through August 6th. Photo by Kevin Harber.
Capitol Riverfront Outdoor Movies
The movies run on Thursday nights this summer, starting tonight at 8:45 p.m. The theme this year is Marvel vs. DC Comics.
NoMa Summer Screen
This season's theme, which started on May 22nd and runs through August 14th focuses on Outlaw Heroes with movies as diverse as Moonrise Kingdom and Ferris Bueller's Day Off making the cut. The gatherings begin at 7:00 p.m. Photo by Bill McNeal
Crystal Screen Outdoor Film Festival

U Street Movie Series - Harrison Field Under the Stars
This movie series looks like it may still need some organizational assistance with only tentative dates of June 19th, July 17th, August 21st and September 18th listed on their website and no movies decided.
National Harbor Movies on the Potomac
This Sunday night movie series, which started on May 26th and runs through September 1st will have a different theme each month for its movies. This year's include Animation Fascination and Silver Screen Sports. All movies are PG and start 20 minutes after sunset. Photo by Michael Reed.
Rosslyn Outdoor Film Festival
This series runs on Fridays at dusk through August 30th with the theme Summer School. Basically, the films at Gateway Park will show all the high school flicks from classic fare like Risky Business and the Breakfast Club to newer films like Easy A. Photo by Flickr user Kataya1220.
Bethesda Outdoor Movies
This series of movies lasts several days in a row in July: from the 23rd through the 27th. There are actually a few chairs available for early birds. The movies begin at 9:00 p.m.
