Updating The Rental Heat Map For October 2012

View as Map

A few new buildings have come together—or are about to—so it is high time we update our map of the hottest buildings to rent in right this minute. We also have a fancy new map program to show off so after the jump, ladies and gentlemen, please find the eight apartment buildings that are the places everyone wants to be. We had to say goodbye to a couple from our list over the summer so that we could say hello to a few new ones. Think we're missing any? Please let us know in the comments.

This is the building with a pet spa, need we say more. They also added amenities like a bike repair room that comes equipped with tools to fix the bikes and a few soundproof common rooms so residents can have band practice.

2. Meridian at Mount Vernon Triangle

Washington, DC 20001

One of the biggest rental buildings to deliver this year this building is sandwiched between Yale West and City Vista and will bring even more foot traffic to a neighborhood that was barely considered a neighborhood a few years ago. Proving how popular they are the building surpassed the fifty percent lease rate within a few months of opening.

3. Aria On L

This building won't be finished until December but they have already started to release information about how to lease their units.

This place is practically on top of the new Whole Foods right there in Foggy Bottom and there are so many restaurants in the neighborhood that you will never need to cook. The best amenity, besides the on-site massage therapists, is the little detail right inside each unit's doorway. A small inset, with a plug, is a perfect place for a cellphone and keys.

Of course we need to include the first of the big builds to come to the Atlas District while the neighborhood undergoes a major transformation.

6. AVA H Street

This building isn't finished either, but the hard hat tours have begun and move-ins are expected by the end of the year.

7. Trilogy at NoMa

This is a three-building development that already has one building open for leasing (the Cirq), one that opens up in November (the linq), and one that opens up next spring (the esqe).
