Believe it or not, there are condos on the market in Dupont Circle that ask below $400K. In fact, there are two buildings with multiple listings all asking under $300K. However, many of the listings in this nightlife hotspot/snowball fight central go quickly. With one exception, all of the places mapped below have been on the market under three months and three buildings even have open houses this Sunday. If you want to move to one of the hottest spots on the Red Line without breaking your bank, have a look below.Read More
The Ten Least Expensive Places On Sale In Dupont Circle
Asking price: $245,000
Size: 0-bed, 1-bath efficiency, 600 square feet
HOA dues: $493/month
The skinny: This studio, the least expensive in Dupont just hit the market today. It just beat out a slightly smaller studio in the same building as least expensive property in the neighborhood. Keep in mind though, this is a co-op.
The Concord Studio
Asking price: $281,001
Size: 0-bed, 1-bath efficiency, 382 square feet
HOA dues: $273/month
The skinny: The Concord also has several inexpensive properties for sale, four of which could make the top ten. The least pricey option in this pet-friendly building is this tiny studio which has been on the market for the better part of the past year. It's tiny, but it has a balcony!
The Leland 1BR
Asking price: $324,500
Size: 1-bed, 1-bath condo, 407 square feet
HOA dues: $237/month
The skinny: The first one bedroom on this list has a wood burning fireplace and a washer-dryer tucked in a spot where it will take up the least possible space.
The Newport 1BR
Asking price: $330,000
Size: 1-bed, 1-bath condo, 643 square feet
HOA dues: $750/month
The skinny: This has a lot of space (which includes a walk-in closet) and furthermore the building has great amenities like concierge service and a rooftop pool. This pet-friendly condo has only been on the market for a week and there's an open house on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
Dupont East 1BR
Asking price: $345,000
Size: 1-bed, 1-bath condo, 683 square feet
HOA dues: $609/month
The skinny: How nice that most of these Dupont condos are pet friendly! This one bedroom close to the metro also has a lot of built in storage and if 683 square feet isn't enough, there's a roof deck.
Asking price: $374,999
Size: 1-bed, 2-bath condo, 635 square feet
HOA dues: $213/month
The skinny: This is the first condo to boast a second bathroom and this is one of the lower Homeowners Association Fees on the map. Also, this is a two-level condo.
The Imperial House 1BR
Asking price: $389,000
Size: 1-bed, 1-bath condo, 653 square feet
HOA dues: $612/month
The skinny: Built in shelving and a walk-in closet? That'll work. This one bedroom is also a fairly recent addition to the market and its open house is this Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
Webster House 1BR
Asking price: $392,000
Size: 1-bed, 1-bath condo, 745 square feet
HOA dues: $606/month
The skinny: For this price, there are a few more amenities (and more space) in this pet friendly building. This is the first one on the map to mention a fitness center and only the second that has a rooftop pool. The condo itself is pretty nice too with a lot of natural light coming in.
The Albemarle 1BR
Asking price: $399,000
Size: 1-bed, 1-bath condo, 608 square feet
HOA dues: $291/month
The skinny: It's definitely more money per square foot to live in the Albemarle but the tradeoff is a homeowners association fee that won't dig too deeply into your bank account. This pet friendly building also boasts proximity to a dog park.
Asking price: $439,900
Size: 1-bed, 1-bath condo, 700 square feet
HOA dues: $301/month
The skinny: The only condo on this map to go over $400K at least has a low homeowners association fee. This one also has an open house this Sunday at 1:00 p.m. as it has only been on the market for under a month. The exposed brick and wood burning fireplace give an element of class and the exposed ductwork (and the rest of the ceiling) is all painted green. It actually looks good.
