Although the average rental in Columbia Heights has transitioned in the past seven years from "decently affordable" to "too damn high," owning in the popular nabe isn't nearly as outrageous. Yes, there are two $1 million+ properties on the market and a $35,000 parking space, but most of the less expensive properties are relatively spacious and under $400K.
