Due to the proximity of The Kennedy Center and pricier Georgetown, Foggy Bottom can seem like one of those neighborhoods where living even somewhat inexpensively is out of reach. That's not so. Nine of the ten least pricey properties on the market right now are under $400K. Yes, some of those places are studios and there are a few in cooperative buildings, but this is the neighborhood where building amenities like swimming pools and concierge service are more likely to accompany those studio apartments. We've mapped out the ten cheapest spots currently on the market in Foggy Bottom. Check it out.

The Ten Cheapest Places For Sale Right Now in Foggy Bottom

Studio at Claridge Cooperative
Asking price: $220,000
Size: 0-bed, 1-bath rowhouse, 450 square feet
Dollars Per Square Foot: $489
The skinny: It figures that the least expensive option in Foggy Bottom would be a pied a terre in a cooperative. Parking and access to a pool and business center are included even if additional listing photos are not.
Studio at The Bader
Asking price: $255,000
Size: 0-bed, 1-bath condo, 434 square feet
Dollars Per Square Foot: $588
The skinny: Well, at least we know in which neighborhood all the city's available studios are located. This one's on a lower floor, so it's possible to look out the window and see trees. The flip side is that the kitchen is awfully narrow.
Studio In Jefferson House
Asking price: $260,000
Size: 0-bed, 1-bath condo, 465 square feet
Dollars Per Square Foot: $559
The skinny: The current occupant has done a lot with their tight space, using leather furniture to make the studio look classy. Also, there's a swimming pool in this apartment and a common area should it feel necessary to get out of the small space.
Studio in Watergate East
Asking price: $262,000
Size: 0-bed, 1-bath condo, 775 square feet
Dollars Per Square Foot: $338
The skinny: The least expensive of the Watergate residences to make this map is still pretty large as far as studios go. The L-shaped residence still has a walk-in closet. However, if you want parking, that'll be extra.
1BR Condo in The Swarthmore
Asking price: $314,900
Size: 1-bed, 1-bath condo, 671 square feet
Dollars Per Square Foot: $469
The skinny: This seems to be a case where getting the corner unit adds rather than subtracts space. There's a roof deck and exercise room that you can share with your building-mates, but you'll be sharing laundry as well...with the entire building.
1BR Condo in Bonwit Plaza
Asking price: $320,000
Size: 1-bed, 1-bath condo, 572 square feet
Dollars Per Square Foot: $559
The skinny: You'll be sharing washer/dryers with everyone else on your floor, but at least garage parking is included with this sale. It's not as eye-catching as some of the other Foggy Bottom condos, but there's certainly nothing tragic that screams "fix me up, now."
1BR Co-Op in Potomac Plaza
Asking price: $349,000
Size: 1-bed, 1-bath co-op, 975 square feet
Dollars Per Square Foot: $358
The skinny: Sometimes merely paying a monthly co-op can override things like oak parquet floors and a private balcony, but for what it's worth, Potomac Plaza also has a renovated roof deck.
1BR Condo in Watergate South
Asking price: $369,500
Size: 1-bed, 1-bath condo, 932 square feet
Dollars Per Square Foot: $396
The skinny: This condo in the Watergate complex just looks like it's currently occupied by foreign dignitaries with money to spend on leather couches. Along with floor-to-ceiling windows, it comes with the pool, concierge and other Watergate amenities.
1BR Condo in Watergate East
Asking price: $385,000
Size: 1-bed, 1-bath rowhouse, 970 square feet
Dollars Per Square Foot: $397
The skinny: Actually, for a condo at the Watergate, this isn't too bad. It's a one bedroom, but at least there's a good view and a walk-in closet to soften the blow.
2BR Federal Rowhouse
Asking price: $675,000
Size: 2-bed, 2-bath rowhouse, 1,053 square feet
Dollars Per Square Foot: $641
The skinny: The brokerbabble refers to this rowhouse as the best kept secret in Foggy Bottom. They may be onto something. Who has ever heard of Snows Court? Still, the red brick three level house is appropriately cozy.
