It's that time of year in real estate when the market is supposed to be in hibernation mode and nothing much happens while people wait until spring buying season starts up. But last month's home sales had a few reasons for people to stop and take notice. Anacostia showed up nabes like AdMo and Dupont by moving its listings at a faster rate (which is a complete reversal from the month before). But it was Friendship Heights/Chevy Chase that took home the title for highest median price ($850K) which means it is a neighborhood to pay attention to (and not just because a controversial building is going up there). After the jump is a map of how last month's sales broke down by zip code.
