2017 is almost here, so it's time to look back at how 2016 went, what photos were taken, and which locations in the nation's capital were the most popular to visit. In order to figure this out, Curbed reached out to Instagram, who provided a list of 2016's most geo-tagged locations in Washington, D.C. One of the points is technically in Virginia, but we'll let it slide for now, Instagram.
