D.C.’s biggest over asking home purchases from last month, mapped

View as Map

With a market as competitive as Washington, D.C., homebuyers sometimes have to be a little less frugal with their money in order to win the home of their dreams. With listings provided by The Open House, Curbed has mapped the 10 purchases made within the last 30 days that sold with the highest over ask.

Of the listings mapped below, seven out of the 10 are located in Washington, D.C.'s Northwest quadrant. There are no Southwest properties listed, and there was no single neighborhood that had the majority of the properties. Nine out of the 10 residences are either single-family homes or townhomes rather than condos. Only one was a fixer-upper.

UPDATE 9/15/16: The map has been updated with the previous month's biggest over asking home purchases.
