Mapping Pads Near SW Waterfront's Station 4

View as Map

Welcome to Bar Crawl Living where we find some worthy domiciles within stumbling distance of a neighborhood hotspot. If there's a place you want us to scope out, leave a comment or send word to our tipline.

May the gods Bacchus and Persephone bless this sliver of DC land called the SW Waterfront. In the quadrant often forgotten, there are reasons to venture to SW. For one, there's the non-profit Arena Stage that's not only architecturally engaging but hosts quite a few cutting-edge theater acts. The second reason is the SW Waterfront is only a few stops by Metro to the downtown offices, so hellish commutes don't need to be the norm. The third reason is the nabe is growing with a new(ish) Safeway and several dining options, including the classy Station 4. The place is perfect for a pre and/or post theatre drink and meal. And the fourth reason more people will call the SW Waterfront home: affordable real estate. So after getting some culture and a bit of vino, roll on over to one of these pads. Cheers.

This listing certainly ain't sexy. Especially with that Google map point hanging out in the front yard. This is a two unit building with current occupants.

Another listing for 280 G's, this is for those who want to live in a building designed by a starchitect. Designed by mastermind I.M. Pei of international fame, including the Louvre Pyramid and Honk Kong's Bank of China Tower to name a few, this one bedroom listing is contemporary through and through.

$349,000

New to the market is another one bedroom condo that's on the building's top floor. There's plenty of light, and apparently the morning sun is super friendly. The monthly HOAs are a manageable $298.

It's so pretty and so new! The one bathroom studio is in a newly built development that more than 80% sold. This listing has been on the market for about 4 months. May not be there for too much longer.

The listing pics could use some work, but that doesn't mean this place ain't worth looking at. This Riverside condo has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. But there's a bit of sticker shock because the monthly fees are $1,220!

$455,000

The three bedroom, two bath condo dropped on the market less than two weeks ago. A civil and social rights activist named Dorothy Height made this her residence so there's a bit of history in this unit. The building has lots of amenities, which it needs to justify $1,092 in monthly fees.

$475,000

For those less inclined to multi-unit living and more of the townhouse persuasion, rest assured because SW has that option too. While the choice of paint colors is less than ideal, the interior is in solid condition.
