Street art has grown over the years from being a sign of vandalism and poverty to progress and beauty. We've taken a crack at mapping the murals in Washington, D.C. before, but now it's time to get serious. We're not focusing on one neighborhood, but the entire Northwest quadrant of Washington. Now, this map does not contain every single mural in Northwest D.C. In fact, there's no way we could ever have it contain every mural, since many are either secretive, covered up, or destroyed. Even so, you can use our map to start your search for street art with 61 murals celebrating culture, music, race, and Washington, D.C., itself.
