You all ranted and raved about our previous map on the 61 murals in Northwest, Washington, D.C. Now, we want to turn your interests to another side of the District with 18 street murals in Northeast. These murals range in size from roughly 7 feet wide to longer than a football field. They range in content from the political like a portrait of Martin Luther King, Jr. to the simply aesthetically appealing with waves of colors and textures on an abandoned building.
Unfortunately, almost all of the titles and artists of the listed murals are unknown, so feel free to add any information you may know of in the comments so the artists can get their just credit. In the end, cities grow and change all the time, so if there are any murals we have missed (an inevitability) and if there are any murals we have listed that don't exist anymore (a sorry inevitability), just respond in the comments with your much-wanted information. If we get enough responses with what we've missed, we can follow up with another post and take you on another artistic journey through Northeast.
