Washington Harbour Ice Rink
As D.C.'s largest outdoor ice skating rink, Washington Harbour Ice Rink is perfect for large groups and families to ice skate any day of the week. THe rink is open until March.
Silver Spring Ice Skating
For those in Maryland, Veterans' Plaza has an indoor skating rink in downtown Silver Spring. The venue offers free parking after 8 p.m.
Pentagon Row Outdoor Ice Skating
The ice skating rink at Pentagon Row is perfect for families with children just learning how to ice skate. The venue offers a "Penguin Skating aid," which helps children stay standing while skating.
Fort Dupont Ice Arena
The Fort Dupont Ice Arena offers free ice skating lessons to children from 5 to 18 years old. To skate in the Arena, you're going to have to check out the Public Skating Schedule on their website to make sure the rink isn't reserved.
Canal Park Ice Rink
The ice rink at Canal Park is open seven days and even during the holidays. The venue offers two-for-one deals on Tuesdays and discounts to college students on Thursdays.
National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden Ice Rink
Running until March 16, the National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden Ice Rink is located on the National Mall and offers great access to nearby tourist locations.
Rockville Town Square Ice Rink
The Rockville Town Square Ice Rink is the largest ice skating rink in Montgomery County and the largest outdoor ice skating rink between Baltimore and D.C.
Tysons Corner Ice Rink
The Tysons Corner Ice Rink is open until March 11. The venue offers spaces for parties and private events as well as fundraisers.
Reston Town Center Ice Skating Pavilion
The pavilion floor of Reston Town Center is now an ice skating rink. If interested in taking a spin on the ice, the venue is open all seven days of the week.
Cabin John Regional Park Ice Rink
Located in Rockville, this ice rink offers ice skating classes and a venue for local hockey teams. If you're interested in skating at the location, you're going to need to check the schedule of public sessions.
Wheaton Ice Arena
Unlike all of the other venues on this list, the Wheaton Ice Arena is open all year-round. The venue also offers a warming room, pro shop, and party rooms.
Kettler Capitals Iceplex
You'll have to check this ice rink's schedule beforehand to make sure it's open to the public. Even so, you still might find the wait worth it as the Kettler Capitals Iceplex is the official training facility for the Washington Capitals hockey team.
The Gardens Ice House
The Gardens Ice House is open all year-round, offering a venue for local hockey teams and children's parties.
Ashburn Ice House
The Asburn Ice House holds multiple rinks for hockey teams, public skating, and parties.
