Listings With Gyms: Enticing The Resolutions-Oriented Buyer

View as Map

There's still hope to keep the 2013 New Year's resolution to stay lean and fit or buff and fit depending on what the name of the game is. And to do it all for less than $500,000 would be even better. For half a million dollars or less, there are condos and coops with a bit of space and a lot of style. And to stay on the path of sexy body success, there are plenty of options to buy a space with workout facilities included in the purchase price. So unfortunately, saying the "gym is so far away" won't cut it in these listings.

The price may be low, but the HOA fees aren't. At nearly $600 a month, that's a good chunk of the overall mortgage for the 1 bedroom, 1 bath coop. But with the space in good condition (minus the sad yellow fridge), the abode would be a good place to settle down and lose some lbs.

2. $166,000

If it's a short sale you want, it's a short sale you'll get. On the market for over a year, the studio condo is in turn-key condition. And while the unit doesn't have a gym inside, the Washington Sports Club ain't too far away.

3. $245,000

Yes, Van Ness is usually forgotten since it's squashed between Cleveland Park and Tenleytown, but there are still opportunities to live in style. Perfect for the cold winter days.

Four stars? Nope. This is a "five star home". Yes, the "home" is a Chastleton coop only 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom. And yes, the "home" has only 758 sq.ft. But the "home" also has plenty of light and plenty of style. And there's a gym to make sure the bod is hot for the Logan crowd.
