The D.C. public pools opened last weekend for Memorial Day, but this is the first week of the year where it's actually felt like summer. It's a good thing that all of those locations are now open on weekends (and starting on June 24th, on weekdays as well.) We've mapped all of them for you so that as the temperatures skyrocket, you, Curbed Readers, will know where to go to cool down.

Anacostia Pool

It's closed on Mondays but open Tuesday through Friday from 1:00pm - 8:00pm (starting June 24th) and currently open Saturday through Sunday from 2:00pm - 6:00pm. They offer water aerobics and swim lessons and still have a diving board. Photo by Bill McNeal.

Opening for weekend hours on Saturday. Opening for regular hours June 24th. Open Memorial Day. Closed on other Mondays, Open Tuesday through Friday from 1:00pm - 8:00pm and Saturday and Sunday from 12:00pm - 6:00pm. There's one lap lane and dedicated lap swim on weekdays between 8:00am - 9:30am.

Upshur Pool

On June 24th it will be open from Tuesdays through Fridays from 1:00pm - 8:00pm but it's currently open Saturdays and Sundays from noon - 6:00pm. One of the more exciting things about this pool is that before it opens to the public, it allows local dogs to swim in the pool. Photo by Wayan Vota.

Currently open Saturdays and Sundays from noon til 6:00 p.m. Starting on June 24th it will be open Mondays through Fridays from 1:00 p.m. til 7:00 p.m. (but closed on Wednesday.) As the photo indicates with the flags and diving blocks, this pool has a competitive swim team.

Banneker Pool

Their closure day is Thursday. They're currently open Saturdays and Sundays from noon til 6:00 p.m. and starting on June 24th they'll also be open from 1:00 p.m. til 8:00 p.m. during the week. Their dedicated lap swim is Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. til 10:00 a.m. Banneker Pool is a part of the Banneker Community Center which has several other amenities. Benning Park Pool

They're currently open Saturdays and Sundays from noon til 6:00 p.m. and starting on June 24th will be open weekdays (except Thursday) from 1:00 p.m. til 8:00 p.m. They have both an outdoor swimming pool and a separate wading pool available. This may be because it's associated with the Recreation and Senior Center.

This pool is in the spot of the future Chuck Brown Memorial Park. The pool is open from currently on weekends from noon til 6:00 p.m. and will start opening on weekdays on June 24th (except for Thursdays) from 1:00 p.m. til 8:00 p.m.

This pool has a unique L shape, making it different from some of the other neighborhood pools. It's currently open on weekends from noon til 6:00 p.m. and will start opening on weekdays (minus Tuesdays) on June 24th from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Jelleff Recreation Center Pool

This pool was recently renovated and includes a separated 25 yard lap lane. It's currently open on weekends from noon til 6:00 p.m. and will open on weekdays (not Wednesdays) from 1:00 p.m. til 8:00 p.m. starting on June 24th.

Fort Dupont Pool

Don't let the name fool you, this pool is in Ward 7, not Dupont Circle. It also has a baby pool attached. It's currently open on weekends from noon to 6:00 p.m. and will open on weekdays (except for Tuesdays) from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. starting on June 24th.

There's a pretty cool park connected to this pool. It's currently open on Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 6:00 p.m. It will open on all weekdays (except for Thursdays) starting on June 24th and it will be open from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
