Five New Hotels We're Anticipating for the D.C. Area

Old Post Office Pavilion: Future Trump Hotel
This hotel won't open until 2016 but Donald Trump just got clearance to begin work on renovating the Old Post Office Pavilion.
Marriott Marquis
This hotel around the Convention Center is currently under construction (much like everything else surrounding the Convention Center.) It's due to open in 2014.
The Westin Bethesda
The Westin in Bethesda won't open until October 2015, so it's not bookable and there are not yet any renderings. However, there's a prime location on Wisconsin Avenue. The picture reflects the current occupant via Google Street View.
Adams Morgan Historic Hotel
This is no longer an Edition Hotel, but the construction, which will incorporate the facade of the neighboring First Church of Christ, Scientist will start later this year.
Salamander Resort & Spa
This is ordinarily a bit far from our geographic scope, but Forbes called it one of the most anticipated hotel openings of 2013. Salamander will open its doors on August 29th.
