Best Options To Live Near An Essential Clarendon Watering Hole

View as Map

Welcome to Bar Crawl Living where we find some worthy domiciles within stumbling distance of a neighborhood hotspot. If there's a place you want us to scope out, leave a comment or send word to our tipline.

The Clarendon crowd may take some flak for being too yuppie or too suburban, but that has not stopped people from flocking to the nabe's bars and restaurants. Perhaps as a result, the local condo buildings are some of the hardest to find availabilities in. With the popularity of Liberty Tavern on the rise (just yesterday, it made Eater's Map of the 38 crucial restaurants to try) we thought it was high time to find the best living options within stumbling distance, before it is too late. Aside from being essential neighborhood drinking, Liberty draws people to the fabulous buffets and the cheap "Burger and a Pint" option. Full of all that food and booze, you'll not want to venture far to crash, and we've got the best spots within walking distance after the jump.

Everyone is touting luxury these days. Luxury condos. Luxury villas. Luxury coffee. And if a 1 bedroom condo for less than $400,00 is considered luxury, it'll make buyers take a second look. Located close to the Virginia Square Metro, the condo has a balcony and a fully-equipped building to live the suburban/urban lifestyle. And while the kitchen is dated, the price definitely isn't.

This Williamsburg is neither colonial nor hipster. The 1 bedroom condo is a few blocks off of Wilson Blvd between Courthouse and Clarendon. The listing makes the condo sound like it's a doable 2 bedroom. With more than a 1,000 sq.ft. there's plenty of space, just say "what's up" to the 1980s furniture and finishes.

Station Square Condominiums are a hot commodity. The 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo has a beautiful, modern interior while the exterior of the building looks like all the others in the area: lots of brick. This condo is suited to those who wanted to live like masters since each bedroom is a master bedroom.

For those looking for more suburban and less urban in their lifestyles, consider this abode. A traditional home with a traditional layout, the 2 bedroom, 2 bath Cherrydale house has a bit less than 1,000 sq.ft. of space, but with an unfinished attic and some property, there's certainly potential for more.

Built in 2005, here's a 3 bedroom, 2 bath condo with enough space for buyers and a little tyke or two. And because the area is such a mess of new construction, the listing emphasizes this rarely available unit faces away from the noise and dust of the new construction activity.

Clean. Modern. Open. There are 3 bedrooms and 3 baths and two balconies in this listing. The kitchen counters are quartz (because granite is so 2012 and earlier) and the floors are chestnut (because anything else just wouldn't cut it). And for the list price, garage parking is included.

$1,199,500

This kind of evokes a Kansas farmhouse, but you ain't in Kansas anymore. As a matter of fact, this listing is on a busy street in Arlington. The house is proximate to the urban Arlington corridor and comes with 5 bedrooms so everyone can have his or her own little quasi-urban oasis. While this isn't the "dream home" for every house hunter, it probably is for some.

$1,400,000

And just to be self-indulgent, for those needing a sprawling 8 bedroom, 9.5 bath manse near the urban amenities of the Metro, here it is. With 8,800 sq.ft. of McMansion abode, All for less than $160 per square foot.
