City Vista And Mt. Vernon Have Some Kushi Listings

View as Map

Welcome to Bar Crawl Living where we find some worthy domiciles within stumbling distance of a neighborhood hotspot. If there's a place you want us to scope out, leave a comment or send word to our tipline.

The Mt. Vernon nabe is on the up-and-up. It seems like every month there's another opening, a new groundbreaking, and more units on the market. And the City Vista development is a bedrock for the area bringing in a lot of retail and restaurant space for the local denizens. But it's not all chains hanging in the hood. Kushi Izakaya & Sushi is a legit Japanese izakaya (read: bar) for those looking for authentic Japanese food, sake, and cocktails. And if a try at bartending is exciting, Kushi's also has classes so people can learn to spin the bottle and make killer cocktails like the pros. While Kushi and some of these listings are new the the nabe, there are few older listings that have been here before Mt. Vernon was a destination.

While the last listing is chic, this one is sophisticated. Another 2 bedroom condo, the unit has 10' ceilings and exposed duct work to give the space a quasi-industrial feel. But don't worry, but it feels more suburban and less urban inside.

$434,000 (809 6TH St)

This is a large unit, 906 square feet, that manages to fit two bedrooms and two full baths in the space. Since it is only a block or two to Gallery Place Metro it is a popular building to live in.

$950,000 (477 M St)

Lots of room. Lots of potential. And the buyer better have lots of vision. There are no interior pics, but this listing has not 2 bedrooms but a whopping 8! However, there are only 4 baths. This row house has been on the market for more than 5 months and originally listed for $1 under a cool million. It's a little cheaper now, but it's hard to tell if it's a deal.
