Heads up, Megan Rapinoe fans: The U.S. Women’s National Team is playing the Netherlands in the FIFA Women’s World Cup Final July 7, and you can watch the match at the Southwest Wharf. The waterfront megadevelopment is hosting a free watch party from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Wharf and Pearl streets SW. The match will be broadcast from a 16-foot jumbotron screen.

Watchers of all ages are welcome and they can eat and drink on the patios of Kirwan’s on the Wharf, Kaliwa, Pearl Street Warehouse, and Lupo Marino. The match will be taking place at a stadium in Lyon, France, at 5 p.m. local time, and the U.S. is favored to emerge victorious.

The American team bested the English team, 2-1, in a semi-final match July 2. In June, they beat France, 2-1, in a quarter-final match June 28, as well as Spain, 2-1, in a match June 24. The Wharf is situated about a 10-minute walk from the Waterfront Metro stop (Green Line).
