This four-bedroom Colonial home in 16th Street Heights has been updated throughout and comes with a tranquil and landscaped backyard. It is poised to go on the market in July for $974,000, says listing agent Shaughn White, with Compass. There is also a two-car garage.

The home boasts hardwood floors and includes an office. The finished basement provides storage and laundry and has high ceilings. In the rear, a screened-in porch offers space for entertaining and relaxation. The living room has a fireplace, while the kitchen, which walks out to porch, features stainless steel appliances as well as a generous number of cabinets.

The home, which last sold in 2012 for 670,000, per property records, is located near Rock Creek Park and Military Road NW. Businesses are in walking distance, on Georgia Avenue.
