The “Build It In DC” conference is back next week

An all-female panel will discuss the future of real estate

Next Thursday is the fourth annual Build It In DC conference, a free half-day event that connects new and established real estate developers, contractors, and builders with industry leaders and the government regulators.

The conference is happening from 8 a.m. to noon at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center on July 26, and includes networking sessions and panel discussions. Topics discussed include financing, affordable housing, alternative building materials, and more.

For the first time ever, the closing event will be an all-female panel of real estate execs, discussing “The Future of Real Estate Development” and the changing landscape of the Districts with upcoming projects at Walter Reed, The Wharf and Union Market. The panel will be moderated by Lisa Mallory, CEO of District of Columbia Building Industry Association (DCBIA, and panelists include Pamela Bundy, President & CEO, Bundy Development Corporation; Vicki Davis, Managing Partner of Urban Atlantic; Jodie McLean, CEO of EDENS; and Barbara Mullenex, Managing Principal of Perkins Eastman DC.
