The U.S. Naval Observatory’s campus needs an upgrade — a $101 million upgrade. The Washington Business Journal reports that a new facility is in the works for the observatory’s Master Clock, a clock that track the motions of the earth, sun, moon, planets and stars.

The overall project has been submitted to the National Capital Planning Commission and includes renovations to other buildings on the campus near Glover Park, which is where the vice president’s residence is located.
