A new green outdoor space at the corner of Oak Street and Wilson Boulevard in Rosslyn is not al fresco seating for the nearby Roti. It’s the first parklet (aka a tiny public park that takes over a section of a streetscape) to debut in Arlington.
The parklet is an extension of the sidewalk and features purple chairs and container gardens. It’s part of a broader Streetscape Elements Master Plan, which was approved by the Arlington County Board in June 2017, according to the BID’s blog post.
The parklet is a two-year prototype installation, and feedback is welcome — so if you have any thoughts on the parklet in Rosslyn, air them here at this online survey site.
