Does megastar Gal Gadot have D.C. in her summer travel plans? There’s reports all over that the sequel to last year’s smash hit Wonder Woman movie is set to film in the Washington area.
The Georgetown Metropolitan has it that the sequel will film in June and July in a few different locations in Georgetown, including next to Fringe Hair Studio on Wisconsin Avenue and near the canal and the Pinstripes Georgetown bowling alley. Meanwhile, the Washington Business Journal reported early in May that the film crew for the 80s-themed movie would take over Alexandria’s closed Landmark Mall in June and July.
If you’re really into this, there’s this intriguing casting call for extras for a “major feature film in the D.C. area” — they’re looking for joggers and exercise buffs, which D.C. definitely has in spades.
