For years, there was no mistaking who owned the mansion in Reisterstown with its own full-size baseball field, indoor gym, batting cage, and personalized locker room. But Baltimore Orioles Hall of Famer Cal Ripken Jr will soon say goodbye to his 25-acre Maryland estate.
The Washington Business Journal reports that Saturday’s auction proved successful, but the home’s buyer will remain a secret for now thanks to a confidentiality agreement.
The 8,545-square-foot mansion with six bedrooms and a baseball-themed home theater originally listed for $12.5 million in 2016, and it was reduced last year to $9.75 million.
