Downtown Bethesda’s development boom, mapped

This new tool tracks every construction project in the Maryland neighborhood

Bethesda, Maryland, is changing, and it’s changing fast. It can be difficult to keep up with all of the changes coming to the neighborhood—thankfully, a new tool has been created to help residents, developers, and others know where and what to expect from each new project planned.

In the tool, first reported on by UrbanTurf, the Montgomery County Planning Department has created an interactive map that lists projects by their name, type (e.g., residential, commercial, etc.), and square footage. With this, users will be able to track projects from their sketch plan all the way up to their site plan phases. Links to applicant presentations are also available.
