Certainly, Washington, D.C., isn’t scarce in outdoor art, especially now as a new mural in Ivy City has appeared at City Winery at 1350 Okie Street NE. As first reported by PoPville, the artist behind the massive work is Aniekan Udofia.
Past murals in D.C. by Udofia have included the Marvin Gaye mural in Shaw and the “Shop Small” mural in Adams Morgan.
According to Eater DC, the 42,000-square-foot City Winery is taking the place of a nightclub, known as Love, that sat vacant for six years. While based in New York, City Winery has five other locations. This D.C. location will include a 175-seat restaurant and private dining room as well as a 320-seat performance venue.
