On the site of one of the largest fires in Prince George’s County, Maryland’s history will come a brand new 275-unit apartment building, dubbed Alloy by Alta. Developer Wood Partners hopes for the project, located at 4700 Berwyn House Road in College Park, Maryland, to deliver its first units by the winter of 2019, according to a press release.

In each unit, there will be stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, moveable kitchen islands, and amenities like a clubroom, pool, and a wet bar. Select units will offer terraces or balconies. When walking into the lobby of the building, visitors will find bar seating, digital art, and a coworking library space with a coffee bar and four private “WeWork-like” spaces, according to a press release.

A fitness center comes with a cross-functional studio. Additional highlights include extra storage and bike servicing.

Washington Business Journal reports that the historic fire that occurred at this site was on April 24, 2017, which largely destroyed the developer’s original building, known as Fuse 47. The official cause of the fire was never declared.
