At 1301 H Street NE, a church, known as St. John’s Church of God, has been replaced with a brand new mixed-use project that is expected to deliver by May of this year. According to the developer behind the project, S2 Development, it will include two floors of commercial space topped by nine luxury residences, all with two bathrooms and either three bedrooms or two bedrooms with a den.

[UPDATE: The units will be condos with prices that start in the $700,000s.] Each unit will span at least 1,100 square feet. Inside, there will be chef’s kitchens, floor-to-ceiling windows, and exposed masonry. The name of the new building is The Lucille.

The project has changed over time since it was originally proposed. In October 2015, a preliminary rendering showed the facade of the planned building to be gray with some red accents. Now, it’s mostly red with some gray accents.

The listing agent is The Rob and Brent Group of TTR Sotheby’s International Realty.
