Washington, D.C.’s Buzzard Point neighborhood is abuzz with many new developments on the way, from Audi Field to a new park to a mixed-use, block-long project. Now, thanks to Washington Business Journal, it’s been revealed that there are plans for another new hotel in the neighborhood, headed by Choice Hotels International Inc.

Choice Hotels International Inc.’s Cambria Hotel & Suites brand has signed on with an affiliate of Michigan-based Kouza Cos. in order to create a 154-room hotel on the northwest corner of Half and Q streets SW. According to Washington Business Journal, the nine-story project will be developed by Kouza affiliate Koucar Management LLC. The architecture firm behind the development is BBGM.

The building is slated to open in 2020 with amenities like a gastropub, fitness center, and rooftop bar. This will be the second Cambria Hotel & Suites location in Washington, D.C.
