In Pentagon City, Virginia, D.C.-based developer JGB SMITH plans on demolishing two warehouses, but has not announced what will replace them. ARLnow reported that the site where the warehouses are located, along S. Eads Street between 12th and 15th streets, were previously planned for a 22-story, 577-unit residential tower, but those plans fell through. [UPDATE: These plans have not necessarily fallen through. Plans are still under evaluation.]
The warehouses are expected to be razed by April or May of this year with up to eight weeks before completion. Curbed DC reached out to JBG SMITH for more details on what will replace the buildings, but was not provided this information yet.
