This one-bedroom, one-bathroom English basement apartment at the northernmost tip of Bloomingdale, near the decommissioned McMillan Sand Filtration site, is renting for $1,850 a month. Advertised as having 825 square feet, the apartment features hardwood floors, an updated kitchen with a dishwasher and a garbage disposal, and high ceilings. It also comes with a washer/dryer and copious closet space. Utilities are included but no pets are allowed.

A 750-square-foot one-bedroom, one-bathroom unit in Edgewood is available for $1,800 a month. It has hardwood floors, a modern kitchen, and a washer/dryer. The unit also comes with a back porch that walks out to a fenced year and off-street parking. The Rhode Island Avenue Metro station as well as restaurants in Brookland are about 15 minutes away by foot.

In Chevy Chase, D.C., this one-bedroom, one-bathroom condo unit is rentable for $1,860 a month. The renovated kitchen features granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, while the living and dining rooms have hardwood floors. The master bedroom boasts two closets and black-out curtains. The building provides a rooftop deck with reclining chairs, 24-hour concierge service, an on-site manager and maintenance staff, and a fitness center. The Friendship Heights Metro station and buses are nearby and garage parking is available.

This downtown studio apartment just steps from Thomas Circle is listing for $1,850 a month. The kitchen has been updated and is equipped with multiple cabinets, granite countertops, and stainless steel appliances. The studio also has an in-unit washer/dryer. Within walking distance are several Metro stations along various lines and nightlife options on the 14th Street NW corridor and in Shaw. The building has an exercise room and storage.

Near the H Street NE corridor, this one-bedroom, one-bathroom basement unit is listing for $1,800 a month. The kitchen is renovated and equipped with stainless steel appliances, a dishwasher, and granite counters. The unit has an open floor plan, laundry machines, and hallway storage. Gallaudet University is nearby and the NoMa–Gallaudet Metro station is an approximately 15-minute walk away. Buses and the D.C. Streetcar run east-west on H Street.
