A four-bedroom, two-bathroom Victorian home located on a large corner lot in Takoma has hit the market for $799,000. Property records show that the lot is almost 8,000 square feet, and the home comes with an expansive porch. The property is also fenced and landscaped.

The house has three levels, featuring a restored stained glass window and additional living space that can be used as an office or a guest room. Windows let in lots of light throughout. The kitchen is tiled and some of the doorways on the first level boast wooden frames. There is a garden in the back as well as a detached two-car garage on the left side of the property.

The neighborhood’s Metro station is accessible via Spring Place NW and it is within a couple of minutes of the home by foot. Close by are the Takoma library and several restaurants and shops, including a Busboys and Poets. The home, which is located at 7101 Chestnut St. NW, last sold for $500,000 in 2006, records say. Compass’ Robert Bouknight is the listing agent.
