Somewhat hidden in the midst of Shaw, Warner Street NW is a special District street: It only stretches for a single block, between 5th Street and New Jersey Avenue NW. This week, a three-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom home at 432 Warner St. NW went up for sale for $850,000.

The building used to contain two units, but it was converted into a single-family home and updated. Built around 1900, it features a good amount of exposed brick on the first level, in the dining room and the kitchen, which has been renovated. The property also has a sizable backyard that can be used for entertaining or parking. The original hardwood floors remain.

A short walk away are popular restaurants on 7th and U streets NW and on Florida Avenue NW. A Giant grocery store and the Shaw–Howard University Metro station are both nearby.

The home last sold in December 2015 for $790,000 and is on a roughly 1,600-square-foot lot, property records say. John Coleman of RLAH Real Estate is serving as the listing agent.
