This Friday, motorists should expect delays due to the annual March for Life event. Known as the world’s largest pro-life event, there will be speakers that will include Paul Ryan and U.S. Representatives Jaime Herrera Beutler, Dan Lipinski, and Chris Smith. The schedule will officially begin at 11:20 a.m. with a musical opening and end at 3 p.m. after the end of the march.
In anticipation of the event, the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) released an announcement on road closures. From 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., F street NW will be closed between 6th and 7th streets NW. There will be rolling street closures on 7th Street NW from F Street NW to Jefferson Drive NW from approximately 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. For Constitution Avenue NW from 1st to 12th streets NW, there will also be rolling street closures from approximately 1:15 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
