Google Arts & Culture face matches D.C. statues to artworks

Selfies. Everyone takes them, and, recently, everyone has been taking them even more. Thanks to the Google Arts & Culture app, the public has taken an extra interest in not only looking at oneself, but the arts as well. One purpose of the app is to match one’s face to famous artworks, which can lead to some unusual and even hysterical findings. Such a capability has shot the app up to number one on both the iOS App Store and Google Play Store.

Below, Curbed DC has taken a look at how different famous statues in Washington, D.C., might fare in the app. From the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial statue to the George Mason Memorial statue, see what comparisons Google made.
