Already, Fairfax, Virginia’s Mosaic District has transformed the Merrifield area with 30 acres of projects, including retail, a grocery store, and an Angelika Film Center. Now, there are plans for more.

Bisnow reports that Retail Properties of America hopes to undergo a $100 million redevelopment of the 1970s-era Fairfax Plaza shopping center next to the Mosaic District, located at 2936, 2950 and 2960 Gallows Road.

This 1 million-square-foot project could result in 626 multi-family units as well as office and retail space. There are no reports on what the timeline might be for this project just yet.
