Long & Foster Real Estate’s dominance in the D.C. Metro area’s real estate market grows once again, this time by acquiring local real estate agency, Evers & Co.
According to The Washington Post, Donna Evers founded Evers & Co. in 1985, later growing the company to nearly 100 agents. At the moment, there are no reports of the terms of the deal, but Evers will join Long & Foster’s leadership team.
In a statement, Long & Foster Real Estate President Larry “Boomer” Foster said, “It is our intent as a company to continue to grow.”
Foster added, “Together, we’ll build upon and expand the already high quality of support and services that we offer buyers and sellers, as well as investors, in the Washington metropolitan area.
Until early fall, Evers & Co. will continue to operate under its current brand.
Before this acquisition, HomeServices of America Inc., a Berkshire Hathaway affiliate, acquired The Long & Foster Companies Inc. According to a press release, Long & Foster Real Estate has approximately 11,000 agents in over 230 offices in the mid-Atlantic region.
