This Sunday on the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol, the annual Labor Day Concert will be hosted with music that will range from folk to bluegrass. In preparation for the free concert, which starts at 8 p.m., some of the roads and streets near the site will be closed or with parking restrictions.
Temporary street closures will begin on September 2 at 12 a.m. and end on September 4 at 4 a.m. As reported by WTOP, here are the roads that will be impacted by street closures and parking restrictions:
- First Street SW, from Independence to Constitution avenues SW
- Maryland Avenue SW, from First to Third streets SW
- Pennsylvania Avenue SW, from First to Third streets SW
Drivers will also not be allowed to park on New Jersey Avenue SW between C Street SW and Constitution Avenue SW on the day of the event. This temporary closing will occur from 7 a.m. to midnight on Sunday.
