With photos, news clippings, maps, and other historical documents included, the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) has created a brand new online photo archive, called DDOT Back in Time, perfect for browsing through if interested in taking a glimpse at the past of the nation’s capital.
Currently, there are over 2,000 images featured with many dating back to the early 1900s. There are a total of 17 collections, ranging in topics from pedestrians and cyclists to traffic signs to aerial photographs.
More photos are still expected to be added to the archive.
For more photos, be sure to check out the DDOT’s Tumblr account as well.
