With an opening expected for November of this year, the former “doomed from the start” Rosslyn, Virginia, art space, known as Artisphere, will reopen as a coworking space, known as Spaces. Artisphere closed in 2015 after five years of business and nearly 1,000 art programs in order to save the county about $2.5 million a year.
Already, there is a Spaces in the D.C. area, located in the former Uline Arena at 1140 3rd Street NE. This coworking company originated in Amsterdam with a focus on offering designer desks, tables, and sofas with prices starting at $249 per month. The D.C. location opened in April 2017.
For the location in Rosslyn, Virginia, Spaces will feature 22,000 square feet of office space, event space, a gym, and an outdoor patio, as reported by ARLnow.
