In Eckington, a Washington, D.C.-based developer has acquired a property with the hopes to create a brand new self-storage facility. Located at 72 Florida Avenue NE, the new building will span 144,000 square feet, as reported by Bisnow.

The developer behind the project is Foulger-Pratt, who is also currently planning a 328-unit mixed-use project at 1501 Harry Thomas Way NE. This project will offer retail, a roughly 10,000-square-foot courtyard with a pool, and 124 below-grade parking spots. East of the project, there are also plans for a new park, called NoMa Green.
