A 22-story tower is on its way to Crystal City. ARLnow reports that the Arlington County Board unanimously approved the construction of the project, located at 2351 Jefferson Davis Highway.

The new building will feature 302 apartments over an existing two-story retail space that currently houses California Tortilla, Buffalo Wild Wings, and Mezeh Mediterranean Grill. The retailers currently at the site are expected to remain.

The new 270-foot-tall building will feature over 330,000 square feet of floor space with 242 parking spaces for residents. In a nearby office building, an existing garage will offer an additional 100 spaces for retail customers, according to ARLnow.

Other additional plans include a new Capital Bikeshare station. One lane will also be removed from the eastbound lanes of 23rd Street South.

The developer behind the project is Lowe Enterprises. The architecture firm is Cooper Carry.
