In Mt. Vernon Triangle, D.C.-based developer Douglas Development plans on constructing a brand new hotel with 190 rooms. The hotel, planned at 601 K Street NW, is expected to be an AC by Marriott, according to the Washington Business Journal.
At the moment, the site houses a small parking lot and a two-story property. The proposal has not yet been submitted to the Board of Zoning Adjustment. There are no reports yet on what the pricing on the rooms will be.
The developer is also working on another hotel project, located at 11th and K streets NW. Partnered with Marriott, this will be a Moxy hotel.
