This summer, 90 brand new apartments in Fort Totten are set to deliver at The Modern at Art Place, developed by The Morris and Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation. The units will range from studios to one- and two-bedroom rentals with rents starting at $1,475 per month.

Some of the amenities that will be offered include a rooftop pool, three outdoor courtyards, a zen garden, bocce ball courts, yoga studio, indoor fitness center, and a close walk to the Fort Totten Metro station.

A pop up leasing office is now open across the street from the project at 5211 4th Street NE.

When the multi-phase project completes at The Modern at Art Place, the entire development will feature three apartment buildings, offering over 900 units. There will also be more than 300,000 square feet of retail, a 47,000-square-foot Explore! Children’s Museum, a 41,825-square-foot XSport Fitness center, and 170,000 square feet of cultural and art spaces. The entire project is estimated to deliver by 2019.

The Modern at Art Place is located at 400 Galloway Street NE.
