As part of the second phase of The Wharf’s development, there are plans to construct a 13,400-square-foot building along the planned pedestrian waterfront promenade in the Southwest Waterfront. Dubbed the Wharf Marina, the building will entail retail and amenity spaces with an accessible rooftop deck that will boast views of the Potomac River.

According to a press release, the pier will be a natural extension of the promenade bulkhead, while the volume of the building will be split into two bands and separated to form a covered space. Meanwhile, the interior space will be enclosed by a glass facade.
