For a home that was originally built in 1905, it’s looking pretty contemporary inside. Thanks to a whole-house renovation and third-floor addition by Fowler Architects in 2011, it’s got little indication of its roots stemming from the last century.
According to Fowler Architects, the current owners of the two-story bay front had an expanding family that required more living space: an additional bedroom, bathroom, and family room. And since expanding in the rear was not possible, they decided to build up—creating a third floor with a master suite, sitting area, and outdoor deck space.
Now, the home has three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and 1,920 s.f. for the right new owner. With bright colors complementing the modern interior renovation, there is a distinctly artistic feel—old meets new on the outside, and color meets nature inside.
