This week, an unnamed buyer purchased a residentially zoned land parcel in Kalorama formerly owned by the French government, as reported by UrbanTurf. The parcel of land first landed on the market in February 2017 for $5.6 million.

The parcel adjoins the French ambassador’s private residence and is located at 2221 Kalorama Road NW. Located within the Sheridan-Kalorama Historic District, the parcel spans 25,197 square feet.

According to a press release, this might be the first time in approximately 40 years that the land has been up for sale.

At the moment, there are no reports of what the buyer has in mind for the site.

The Alex Venditti Team of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage co-listed the property with the Morrell-Roth Team from Compass.
